Zachary Adler - S1E8 - Director of Transactions for The Durst Organization

Zachary Adler is the Director of Transactions for The Durst Organization, supervising the team that underwrites and executes the firm’s acquisition, financing and other transactional activities. Since joining The Durst Organization, he has been involved with several significant transactions including the financing of 855 Avenue of the Americas and 625 West 57th Street, and the acquisition of Halletts Point in Astoria, Queens.

Zachary holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate from New York University and graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Prior to joining The Durst Organization, Zachary was a member of the Acquisitions team at The Albanese Organization and has also held positions at Cofinance, Inc., GTIS Partners and Time Equities Inc.

Min Suh - S1E7 - CEO & Founder at Assess+RE

Min has worked for and advised leading institutional real estate investment and development firms for 8 years.  He has also been a regular lecturer of real estate finance and financial modeling at Columbia University for 7 years and has lectured at other leading academic institutions such as New York University.  He has extensive experience in real estate acquisitions, development, real estate private equity vehicles, joint venture structures, expert testimony, and analytical systems. 

Min started his career at Manchester Real Estate & Construction, a multi-strategy ultra-high net worth investment office investing in real estate equity and debt across gateway cities. In this role, he was responsible for acquisitions, underwriting, and asset management. Thereafter, Min spent time with Louis Dreyfus, a $60 BN commodities conglomerate, where he was responsible for acquisitions, underwriting, research, and portfolio analytics for value-added and opportunistic real estate strategies including office, full service luxury hotels, and mixed-use assets. 

Min is a recognized domain expert in real estate finance and is the founder of ASSESS+RE, a financial technology platform for real estate valuation. He also regularly advises real estate investment and development companies.  Some of Min's previous clients include the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, AECOM Capital, BASCOM Group, and Hawthorne Partners.

Patrice Derrington - S1E6 - Director
of MSRED at Columbia University

Patrice Derrington is the Holliday Professor and Director of the Real Estate Development Program at Columbia GSAPP. Prior, she taught for three years NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. Derrington bridges the fields of education and real estate, and brings significant global experience as an executive and board director of numerous property companies to the critical tasks of educating students, integrating academe and industry, and building an innovative knowledge base for the real estate profession. A recipient of the prestigious Harkness Fellowship, Derrington studied for her Ph.D. in architecture/civil engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, adding to her Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree with First Class Honours and University Medal from the University of Queensland. Her teaching career began at Carnegie Mellon University and MIT, and has been supplemented with over 12 years of real estate industry experience on Wall Street where she worked as an investment banker and advisor to major individual and institutional clients such as David Rockefeller, Keybank, and the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation.

Michael Zhang - S1E5 - Co-Founder & CEO

Born in China, Mr. Zhang grew up in Canada, attended university in London and New York, graduating Cum Laude from New York University with an economics major and a double minor in Psychology and Business Studies. During my 4th year of university, he gave up multiple job offers from both Fortune 500 as well as some Wall Street companies to co-found a real estate company. In less than a year, the team of 3 people made the list of top 10 boutique real estate brokerage firms in sales numbers in New York. He personally conducted over $10 Million dollars’ worth of real estate transactions. During the process, he earned his first big check and appeared on episode 1 of season 3 of “The Million Dollar Listings New York” reality TV show. He has jumped out of the sky, dove beneath the ocean, climbed the Incan trail to visit the ancient city of Machu Picchu, built a school for children in the city of Cuzco and swam in the amazon; now, he wants to build the biggest community platform for entrepreneurs in China, to live, to work and to create together.

David Eyzenberg  - S1E4 - Founder & Managing Partner
Eyzenberg & Company

David Eyzenberg is Founder and Managing Partner responsible for the operations of the company as well as origination and execution of real estate investment banking transactions.  Additionally, Mr. Eyzenberg is a partner at Anika Equities, a private equity vehicle focused on the creation and acquisition of ground leases.  Complementing his professional endeavors, Mr. Eyzenberg teaches graduate real estate finance studies at the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate, Columbia’s Masters of Science in Real Estate program, and the NYU Stern MBA Program.

Mr. Eyzenberg is a graduate of New York University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in real estate finance and investment. He serves as President of the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate Alumni Board and also sits on the department’s Advisory Committee.  Mr. Eyzenberg is an active member of ULI, ICSC, RELA, MBA, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Manish Srivastava  - S1E3 - Professor at NYU 

Manish Srivastava is a clinical associate professor of real estate finance & investment and the former academic and finance chairs of New York University’s School of Professional Studies’ Schack Institute of Real Estate. He has also taught at Columbia University in New York and has guest lectured at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Professor Srivastava is also the managing partner of Sidhant Capital Partners an international real estate investment and advisory firm.

Professor Srivastava graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with dual Masters of Science degrees in Real Estate (with a focus on real estate finance and development) and Architecture. At MIT, he was the recipient of the Aga Khan Scholarship for graduate studies in architecture. He also has a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Marious Sjulsen - S1E1 - Equity Multiple - Crowdsouring

Marious leads the real estate team at EQUITYMULTIPLE and is responsible for underwriting, sourcing and executing transactions posted on the platform. Marious also sits on EQUITYMULTIPLE’s investment committee and board of directors. Marious joined EQUITYMULTIPLE from a New York development firm where he was in charge of building out their commercial real estate platform. Prior to that, he worked at Brickman for eight years, a national private equity firm where he was a Vice President in charge of acquisitions for the east coast. He started his career at LaSalle Bank and then moved to Lehman Brothers to be part of the finance team for their real estate private equity group. Marious received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Chicago.

Jonathan Twombly - S1E2 - Two Bridges Asset Management, LLC - Real Estate Fund

Mr. Twombly is President and Managing Member of Two Bridges Asset Management LLC. Before founding Two Bridges, he was a partner in the real estate investment firm TRB Investment Group LLC. He began his career as a lawyer and spent over a decade practicing in American Lawyer Top 100 firms, where he focused on real estate and hospitality matters.

Mr. Twombly holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a law degree from Columbia University School of Law. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Organization, Inc., a non-profit.
